WHO holds global consultation on the future of SRHR
September 2026. WHO’s Human Reproduction Programme (HRP), together with its UN partners, is conducting a global foresight and research prioritization process to explore what may shape sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) over the next decade.
The 2026 public consultation invites diverse perspectives on the geopolitical, socioeconomic, environmental and technological changes that could influence the future of SRHR between 2026 and 2036. The process will contribute to a report on the future of SRHR and a corresponding research agenda, to be published in 2027.
This consultation offers an opportunity to step back, think collectively about where we want to go, and help shape the future we want to see. ECEC encourages the emergency contraception community to contribute.
The deadline for submissions has been extended to 15 October 2026.
