Europe: ESC’s committement to evidence and rights
May 2026. On the occasion of the International Day of Action for Women’s Health, the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health launches its new Position Paper on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (Belgrade, 2026), reaffirming its commitment to defending sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) as fundamental human rights, and to evidence-based medicine and human rights as guiding principles for SRHR policy-making and clinical practice at every level.
This position paper is endorsed by leading SRHR organizations, including: EBCOG, ISGE, IAHR, IPPF, Femicare, CoSRH, EMA, ECEC, BSACP, FIAPAC, ISIDOG, AMAdA, ESG, EURAPAG, and WAS . Access the paper from ESC’s website and the executive summary here.
